This page describes, in plain language, what this website does with information about its visitors. It describes how the site works at the time of writing; if that changes, this page will change with it.
What the site collects
The pages and guides on this site are static reading material. The site does not ask you to create an account, does not offer a comment form, and does not run advertising or third-party tracking scripts. It does not load fonts, scripts, images or other resources from third-party servers: everything your browser needs comes from this site.
Like any web server, the server that delivers the site and any network service placed in front of it, such as a content delivery or security service, may record technical details of each request, such as the IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser’s identification string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure and to investigate abuse. This site does not use them to build profiles of visitors.
Cookies
The site itself does not set cookies for ordinary visitors. A security or delivery service in front of the site may set technical cookies of its own for purposes such as bot protection; these are not used by this site for tracking.
The risk matrix tool
The risk matrix tool runs entirely in your browser. The risks, scores and notes you enter are held in the page’s memory so that the tool can calculate and display results. They are not sent to the site, not stored in cookies or browser storage, and not available to the operator. When you close or refresh the page they are gone, so copy the summary if you want to keep it. The copy and print buttons act on your own device only.
If you contact the site
If a contact address is published on the contact page and you write to it, the operator will receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. It is used to read and respond to your message and to correct material where appropriate. Please do not include passwords, codes, tokens or sensitive personal or system information. When a message is no longer needed it can be deleted on request.
Your choices
You can read all of the material without providing any information. If you want to ask about information held about you, use the contact route on the contact page when it is available. Where data protection law applies to you, you may have rights to access and delete personal data; the operator’s identity and a more detailed notice will be added here when a contact channel is published.
